From the 28th to the 30th of August I had the pleasure of undertaking QUT'S (Queensland University of Technology) Impact Lab Design Intensive week where myself and my fellow group members Jasper Addison Tom Sands Elizabeth Phillips Thy Thy Nguyen created a design concept for the non-for-profit charity commonkind.org run by Carolina Puleston.
Commonkind was founded in order to source volunteers for charities, in particular children and families that are looking to give back or get involved with their communities. Our project was designed and conceptualized on the basis of community engagement and how we could foster and engage that within schools.
This experience really challenged my design thinking, working in a group setting coming up with and refining back ideas based on a clients needs and wants. Thank you to everyone involved in this design intensive week, it was engaging and very worthwhile to be apart of.
